Welcome from our principal
Newling Public School is a progressive and successful school that forms part of the Armidale Community of Public Schools. Located in the East of Armidale, our expansive school environment combines state of the art technology in classrooms, with expansive playground facilities to ensure our students are happy and healthy learners who love coming to school.
Our school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 and promotes a supportive, caring atmosphere that provides a challenging learning environment for all.
The school staff share a strong commitment to the school's focus of supporting all students to achieve their best academically, socially and emotionally, creatively and on the sporting field. Newling Public School prioritises meaningful teacher/student relationships in addition to explicit teaching in every classroom with committed teachers, supported by two Instructional Leaders, a highly effective Learning and Support Team, dedicated School Learning Support Officers and a caring Admin team all dedicated to supporting student opportunities to participate in learning that matters.
Our approach allows most additional support for students to be embedded in classroom practice and additional teacher time is provided to every classroom so every child is supported to achieve their potential.
At our school, we envision a community where every student is a committed, resilient, and empathetic worker. This forms the basis of our school values and the commitment to being part of a CREW. Our students are committed to trying their best in all endeavours, resilient to overcome setbacks, empathetic by caring about the success of their friends and family and workers who see the task through to the end. Our school community is driven by hard work and kindness to make a meaningful difference in the world.
I encourage you to visit our school in person to experience the friendliest school around.
