There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

Stage 3 CREW CAMP is always a great way to kick off the year. Teaching our students to be Committed, Resilient, Empathetic Workers, CREW Camp ensures our Stage 3 students kick off the year on the right foot.

Students camp for two nights, learning how to setup camp and prepare their own food. Crew Camp is all about teaching students strong leadership and initiative.

Transitions are a pivotal part of the school year, with emphasis placed on the beginning and end of the school journey. Students coming into kindergarten get to transition with the "Little Stars" learning program. What starts as a playgroup (with parent involvement) evolves into an experience in developing the independence to hit the ground running the following year.

Our Year 6 students participate in a variety of school based initiatives that prepare students for high school. Including our teacher led days and slimefest. Slimefest is an annual highlight. This event welcomes schools from all across Armidale who come along to participate in fun, slime related activities, whilst forming relationships with students from other schools. Students develop skills in resilience, teamwork, getting along under the watchful eyes of Newling's teachers, support staff and community members.
